Environmental protection, testing of water, fuels and lubricants

Short description

The Laboratory for Water, Fuels and Lubricants is essential for engineering education and the research activities of the Chair of water and environmental engineering.
The laboratory exercises are designed to supplement the lectures and to provide students with practical experience in the determination of basic physicochemical properties of water, fuels and lubricants.
Selected water treatment technologies (e.g. coagulation/flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, oxidation processes, ion exchange processes, and membrane technologies) are also demonstrated and discussed.

In addition, for the purpose of scientific projects and in collaboration with industry, various experiments are conducted to reproduce laboratory-scale results in a pilot-scale system.
