Long description

University of Zagreb, namely the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture plays active role in the NEORION project. Aside from that, its main activity is providing a study programme at bachelor, master and doctoral degree. The strong point of the Department is its strong cooperation with the industry and academia worldwide. Department is a member in most important associations IMAM, ISSC, WEGEMT, COREDES, MARPOL etc and participates in nearly all types of scientific projects, programmes and frameworks. In particular, numerical analysis and synthesis groups are recognized worldwide, using FEMAP, MAESTRO, LS-Dyna, Hydrostar, LS-Dyna and other state-of-the-art software for solving most complex problems in ship design, structural analysis, hydromechanics and other problems.
Following services are routinely offered by the Department: various CFD simulations, ship and offshore vibration problem analysis, LPG tank design, most complex ship structural analysis, including fluid-structure-interaction analysis, ship optimisation, ship design, ocean and offshore engineering, such as subsea pipeline laying and near-shore mooring, technology projects and other.
